Why do you choose an Airbnb over a hotel?
I like an authentic local experience that Airbnb rentals brought to me. I got the opportunity to explore the neighbourbhood and learn more about the local culture and traditions during the leisure stays.
Airbnb hosts are hospitable towards their guests. They’re willing to share maps and brochures with recommendations from the locals. I appreciate their help in filtering the choices of dining and sightseeing destinations. Host-guest interaction is quite high.
As I usually select Airbnb rentals located in a non-touristy area, I feel less congested and more relaxing. I can live like a local by immersing myself in the local markets, cafes and cultural activities.
By engaging with the locals, I feel more connected to the local flavours. I can see each of the city’s uniqueness through the eyes of a local. The overall travel experience is enhanced with such a memorable stay.

I think that Airbnb rentals are far more spacious than hotel rooms. In addition to the large amount of space provided, the hosts have decorated the house with homely feel with a high level of comfort.
Some hospitality touches have enhanced the guest experience. For example, a fully equipped kitchen plays a major role in getting good reviews. I definitely select an Airbnb with a functional kitchen for cooking hearty meals.
I especially like the chic and comfortable outdoor seating in the open area. Some hosts even set up kid-friendly area with slides and swings. They keep me entertained in the outdoor space thanks to the extra amenities.

Yes. Airbnb is an example of adopting sharing economy because the hosts share their homes with the guests. When more hosts join the platform of an Airbnb, the demand for building new hotels will be lowered. Hence, reduction of carbon footprint can be achieved.
